The Pedestrian and Traffic Improvements project between Montgomery Cross Road and Ferguson Avenue is part of SPLOST IV and was divided into two projects: Skidaway Road at Ferguson Avenue and Skidaway Road at Montgomery Cross Road.

Phase 2 included a study and an Intersection Control Evaluation (ICE) that recommends a five-leg, multi-lane roundabout at this intersection. The project is currently entering the design phase and will incorporate a peanut-shaped roundabout to accomodate Montgomery Cross Road at Skidaway Road, and Central Ave.
